Kiwi fruit doesn’t actually originate from New Zealand. It’s other name, Chinese Gooseberry is more adapt. It was a marketing campaign by some savvy New Zealand farmers in 1966 and by 1974 it was commonly adopted for some reason. But we still love them on our pavlovas.
