Product Description
The Eggplant is a species of Nightshade and is related to Tomatoes and Potatoes. It has been cultivated in southern and eastern Asia since prehistory. The first known written record of the plant is found in Qimin Yaoshu, an ancient Chinese agricultural treatise completed in 544. The name derives from Europe, mid 18th century, and the cultivar used being small, round and white like a hen’s egg.
