Product Description
The Capsicum (AKA Bell Peppers) originated from the Americas where they were cultivated as early as 3000 BC. The fruit contains capsaicin, a lipophillic chemical that produces a burning sensation and repels insects and mammals, but strangely not birds. It is related to chillies and is the most mild of forms.
